Viva Argentina!

Viva Argentina!

In a week when Argentina is firmly on the map, now proudly the homeland of the two most famous men in the world namely Pope Francis and Messi, I have decided to make my weekly wishlist a flavour of Argentina complete with Dulce de Leche, Alfajores and Tango. The jury seems to be split as to who is the most famous Messi or Pope Francis, so what do you think? would love to hear your thoughts if you have a minute to spare. Have a great week and if you want to see the details of all the items in my wishlist be sure to click on the image, Nadia

Rock house

rock-house-2

During my travels to Iceland last summer I was taken aback by the ‘rock houses’ built into the sides of rock faces and cliffs.¬†Apparently¬†they were built this way to protect the house from the elements and to keep it warm during the bitterly cold winter. The roofs are covered with¬†vegetation, moss ¬†and plants acting as insulation and making them ‘belong’ to the landscape. Driving back home today London was grey, bitterly cold and the heavy snowfall was now a dirty ,oily sludge on the roads, my mind drifted back to the rock ¬†houses of Iceland . The idea of going back to a rock house with a burning fire was such an appealing thought.. I guess we have no cliffs or rocky¬†fa√ßades¬†in London so I can just dream away. Anyway, back home I put on the central heating and looked at the white, untouched snow in my garden and actually, it wasn’t too bad at all

Nadia Minkoff London, summer 2013 @ Pure London

Nadia Minkoff London, summer 2013 @ Pure London

What a summer it has been for us in London. Olympics and papralympics, half decent weather and a general ‘feel good’ factor, it’s been nothing short of great. And amidst all that we even managed to show our new summer 2013 collection at Pure London. We received plenty of oohs and aahs for our new embroidered range of clutch bags and handbags as well as orders from lovely new accounts. Next stop?? Paris at the end of Sept, bring it on!!
