Dana’s Blog: Day 12

Hi everyone!

I emailed the second press release today, so thanks for all the feedback on it! Hopefully this one will bear some fruit, though everyone in the UK seems to be out of the office for some reason.

I also reached out to a blogger today, who seemed really enthusiastic about the brand and would really love to feature the products on her blog, as well as on her various social media platforms.

We’re still trying to get the website designers to come in this week so I can meet with them as well, as this is my last few days here, so hopefully that’ll happen.

Have a great afternoon!

Dana’s Blog: Day 6

Hey guys!

Can’t believe it’s been a week already!

Today I worked on the social media for the most part. I added a new board on Pinterest – the graffiti board, which both Nadia and I love. Here’s a really cool picture that Nadia took recently:

I also added many a picture to the Tumblr and Instagram!

Additionally, I reformatted the press release (which I’ve included here!). We took some pictures of the bags over the weekend to include, and I had to make sure all they all fit in nicely with the spacing of the content. The GoogleDoc I included is the final version we’ll use, so do let me know what you think of it.

Here’s one of the pictures of said bag, I absolutely love it. I think it’s a perfect going out bag and you can fit so much into it.

Tomorrow I’ll be sending out the press release to all the magazines directly. Hopefully someone responds!

Have a great day, everyone!

Dana’s Blog: Day 5

Hello everyone!

Hope you all had a nice weekend (we had a long one here in the UK!)

Today I revised the magazine contact list again. It seems like everyone in the fashion journalism industry changes jobs every fortnight, as the contact info I’ve found is usually outdated.

Nadia helped me edit my press release as well. As I said, it was my first attempt at it so it needed quite a bit of help, especially in targeting it to the intended audience. My version sounded a little too descriptive and wasn’t selling the bag as much it should have, whilst the edited one makes you want to run out and buy it (which you should all do anyway). I’m doing another one this week though so I’ll be sure to let you know how that’s going.

Check out some pictures from the weekend on Instagram, Tumblr, Facebook, and Twitter, and let me know what you think in the comments below (please actually do it so I don’t end up like this meme):

Also, Nadia blogged yesterday about this cute little library she spotted, it’s worth a look!

Have a great afternoon!

Confessions of an obsessive Pinner…

ikats

I confess, if I could I would most likely be pinning all day. Whilst some people make their New Years resolution to clean, de-clutter and tidy up their spaces, I on the other hand, chose to add yet another board to my Pinterest boards ( which as is, take up far to much of my time). My inspirational fabric images that I have collected over the months are now going into my Ikat, Batik and tribal fabrics board. I will be able to gaze at them all, neatly laid out at a press of a button- how wonderful 🙂 Plenty more images to come but already looking lovely. So if you are on Pinterest check it out http://pinterest.com/nadiaminkoff/ikats-batiks-and-tribal-fabrics/

Let me know what your Pinterest name is so I can check you out too!
