The colour purple

I distinctly remember the excitement I felt the first time I saw endless fields of Lavender from the car window, during a family holiday in France with my parents. The colour so intense it looked like a painting. Fortunately, to catch a glimpse of the colour purple I no longer need to travel so far. Mayfield Lavender Farm in Surrey is some 15 miles from the centre of London and given the fantastic weather we’ve been experiencing in the UK, is positively brimming over with blossom . The bees love it too so if you are going, wear long trousers so that you can walk through the fields. There are literally bus load of Asian tourist coming to enjoy the views, if you are unsure you’ve taken the right turning, this is a good indicator.Enjoy!
