I wouldn’t go on a funfair ride, be it a very small or any size for that matter, wouldn’t even entertain the thought. On the other hand the Docklands Light Railway, commonly know as the DLR is definitely my kind of ride. And yes, it does go up, down and round corners. It’s bright red, unmanned carriages run along elevated tracks and bridges and are flanked by bright blue metal gates. It opened in 1987 to serve the re-developed Docklands area of London and near enough runs the breadth of London’s east End, along it’s financial district ( The City) offering some spectacular views and an in-sight into the old East End, the old post war housing estates, the modern city skyscrapers, the 02 Arena and plenty more. Even better, no need to queue for hours for a 10 minute ride, this one is at your leisure!
