Along the Severn, Wales bound

ImageImageImageMy sister used to live in Wales and I used to drive down from London to visit frequently, no matter the weather. There’s a spot where you pass Bristol and there it is, The Severn Bridge and the old Severn Bridge, a suspension Bridge crossing a peninsula between the River Severn and the River Wye . To me it was the ‘soon to be crossing into Wales’ landmark. On a stormy day the bridge is often shut, on others it’s open for traffic but… there’s a toll to pay and it’s not cheap. However,  curiously if you leave Wales, England bound the crossing is free! And the standard joke that I was told by the locals was that you pay to enter beautiful Wales but free to go back to England.
