Poppy Wyatt from Women Talking magazine has published a great article on the Nadia Minkoff SS2011 collection.
British accessories designer Nadia Minkoff has given a fun; vibrant and eclectic feel to her spring/summer 2011 collection.
This season sees a mix of bright colours with nude shades, metallic leathers with matt finishes, zips mixed with studs and vintage flair with modern twists.
Inspired by London postcodes and places of interest, a popular design focus Nadia first introduced in her collections in 2010, this new range includes large day bags with scaled down mini versions for the evening. Many designs feature changeable straps, short for those who want it chic and long for those who want “boho”.
Said Nadia, “The nude ‘saddle’ bag reminded me of horse riding in Hyde Park at the weekend, metallic bucket bags are perfect for stylish lunches along the Kings Road and our pleated tote with knot, called the Fulham Bow, is ideal for your sketchbook on a trip to the V&A. My new collection is as pretty and as vibrant as London on a glorious summers day!”
For those who like their accessories pure in style and pure in production, Nadia has created a new range of vegetable tanned bags in the softest, washed lamb Nappa with amazing colours including, blue, apple, berry, nude and pale lime.
The collection of Nadia Minkoff vintage charms continues to grow this season with the introduction of some iconic updates, including a fun red London Route Master bus, jewel encrusted London eye, elegant keys, locks and lucky charms. The charms are adorned with a mix of Swarovski crystals, pearls and chains to create a Vintage looking range of fun necklaces and bracelets.
